How Stress Affects the Root Chakra

Let’s talk about our base body energetic center – the root chakra. If there is a problem even with one of your charkas, they cannot function as a system and you will feel unbalanced. You can make them function properly when you work consciously with their energies.

Your energetic system, when functioning properly, is really powerful and the chakras are your main energetic centers. Your energy, when managed well, will easily shift your life. If your chakras are over or underperforming, they may cause you serious problems. If you have not harmonized them as well as their connections and interactions, you will not be able to receive and give energy at your optimum. If you do not have their support and when you are not consciously helping them they are going to work very weak. And as we know, the root center it is crucial for our survival, so the first thing we must do is to open and balance this basic center. The first chakra affects our physical health and, wellbeing, our relationships with relatives and financial prosperity. I want to help you understand how this center affects you.

The chakras are our powerhouse system and especially the first one is responsible for our life force and personal power. Chakras in Sanskrit means wheels of energy. They have their own purpose and a mission and a certain programming that is meant to support us. When I passed the entire Silva Method System I understood that 90 % of all physical diseases and life problems are caused by some kind of energy or mind disorder. We are energetic beings in nature and vibrate within a determined frequency band, so it is very important to balance the chakra column inside our physical body in order to live a peaceful and joyful life.

Our chakra system begins to function when we are born. The awesome thing is that the chakras can support each other. They are separated but when they operate in partnership we can be really centered and focused. A stronger chakra can help the weaker one. The well-performing root chakra means to have a secure and supportive family environment. It is located in the pelvic area and connects and grounds us to the Mother Earth.

The message our root chakra brings us is “I have the right to exist because I was born to live on the planet Earth”. You are really present here now and you are on your life path. You are in line with your life purpose. Money and all types of resources for your survival and growth are connected with this chakra. Your health and closer relationships, your vitality and family support relate to it. Through the first energetic center you manifest all basic things you need in life, so that you can survive and feel secure, loved and valued. When this center is open and properly functioning, you have the feeling of abundance and prosperity in life here now. You do not have to struggle for the material things in life. When the base chakra is blocked we feel disconnected from our roots, ungrounded and not secure enough, so our health and relationships may become endangered. We may feel a lack or purpose and may struggle with many stressors on a daily basis.

So how can we open and balance the base energetic body center? Based on my experience I would highly recommend you to observe for some time red or black color in order to activate your root chakra. I have a silver ring with a black gemstone on it and each time I feel unsecure or need grounding, I look at it. Silver doubles the effect of the color itself, because it is associated with protection in this material world. Silver implies abundance in life and it is a feminine color. Silver is related to the energy of the Moon. And Moon is feminine in nature. Silver calms down the women’s nervous system and normalizes the hormone balance in our physical bodies. You can also wear clothes or accessories in both colors to improve functioning of the root chakra.

Now you can start to work with your base center in order to improve your health and life force and this in return will empower you to reduce stress on a daily basis. Decide which of the two colors– red or black resonates better with you and simply contemplate it or wear it for at least 7 days and see how things will change in your life.
